Dragon fruit is used to prevent and fight diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Dragon fruit can be eaten raw or made into wine, juice, spreads, or desserts. K0WATRAC is promoting Dragon fruit tree growing to fight the increasing infection rates of diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol in Western region of Uganda.
